To support this initiative, Haifa Group required a platform capable of connecting dozens of physical field components with the organization’s SAP core systems in real time. The iConduct Integration Platform was selected as the digital backbone of the project, enabling automated, synchronized, and fully controlled operational processes across the entire logistics chain

The Challenge: Eliminating Operational Bottlenecks Through Integration

Haifa Group faced a highly demanding logistics environment involving truck congestion, hazardous materials regulations, multiple disconnected operational systems, and real-time coordination requirements between physical infrastructure and enterprise applications.

The main technological challenge was bridging the gap between IoT devices and operational hardware in the field and the SAP ERP environment. Data from sensors, scales, RFID readers, cameras, and kiosks had to be collected, processed, synchronized, and updated in SAP instantly – while maintaining continuous operations with minimal latency.

The Solution: iConduct as the Integration and Automation Engine

The iConduct platform orchestrated and synchronized data flows across all project components in real time:

Real-Time Smart Gate Integration

iConduct connected smart gate hardware components - including RFID readers, identification cameras, weighing systems, and self-service kiosks - directly to SAP. This enabled immediate data validation, hazardous materials compliance checks, and automatic document generation for drivers within seconds.

Railway Logistics Terminal Synchronization

The platform established secure integration between Israel Railways systems, container management platforms, and SAP, enabling full automation of loading and unloading processes for thousands of containers.

Environmental and Regulatory Process Automation

iConduct automated data validation and synchronization processes against environmental and hazardous materials regulations before approving the movement of sensitive materials.

Project Scope

  • Unified integration infrastructure connecting SAP, operational systems, and multiple IoT components
  • Full automation of logistics workflows across a railway terminal handling more than 3,000 containers
  • Centralized synchronization platform connecting truck drivers, railway operators, logistics teams, and administrative personnel in real time

Business Results: When Data Flows, Operations Perform

Thanks to iConduct’s orchestration and automation capabilities, Haifa Group achieved significant operational improvements across critical logistics KPIs:
  • Reduced truck entry processing time from approximately 5 minutes to only 30 seconds
  • Shifted more than 90% of logistics transportation volume to railway-based transportation
  • Improved operational safety and significantly reduced human errors in hazardous materials management
  • Reduced operational and transportation costs through real-time visibility and process automation
  • Increased operational continuity, synchronization, and logistics efficiency across the entire supply chain
